(The Portal)

The BHSIS Technical Support Portal or (The Portal) is a management tool for CBHSQ and its contractors, Synectics and NRI, to effectively manage and monitor communications received from the states and the U.S. territories related to the reporting of mental health client-level data. The Portal consolidates all questions and requests for technical support or technical assistance that may come through different pathways: the technical support e-mail account established by Synectics for MH-TEDS, the technical support e-mail account established by NRI for MH-CLD, direct e-mails sent to Synectics and NRI staff, and direct e-mails to SAMHSA/CBHSQ staff.

In addition to serving as a repository for technical support questions and technical assistance requests, the Portal also does the following:

  • Promotes transparency;
  • Ensures consistency in decision-making;
  • Provides real-time access and referral;
  • Enhances collaboration among parties;
  • Allows for better tracking; and
  • Keeps states informed on the action being undertaken.
